This is a print of an original oil painting by Patrick Whelan. Michael Jackson purchased a small, signed, limited edition print of this in June, 2009. This is based on the story of Penelope from Homer's Odyssey who waited faithfully for twenty years for her husband Odysseus to return home to their island kingdom of Ithaca after he left for the Trojan wars.
